- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1.5 pounds fresh green beans, stem ends snipped or snapped off
- 1 lemon
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. When butter starts to sizzle, add green beans and sauté until tender, about 3–5 minutes.
- Squeeze lemon juice on the beans.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper and stir to coat. Cook for an additional minute.
